DNR Commissioner's Office
Our mission at the Alaska Department of Natural Resources is to "To responsibly develop Alaska's resources by making them available for maximum use and benefit consistent with the public interest." DNR staff are committed to serving you, the public, by being stewards of the natural wealth of the State of Alaska. Resource development is an important part of our economy and it is our goal to ensure that this economic opportunity is available to all Alaskans, both now and in the future. We are involved in managing resources that range from the largest state park system in America to the nation's largest oil field.
